GO NANO! GROW SMART! NEW QD TECHNOLOGIES PROJECT


In early September, IQDEMY Group took part in an interesting event in Canada – Grow up conference & Expo. Grow Up Conference and Expo is focused on the education, collaboration and growth of the cannabis growing industry. Licensed producers, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, investors, lawyers, government officials and growing enthusiasts – all in one location.

What's a dot
Quantum Dots are microscopic molecules with some peculiar properties as the ability to emit very specific wavelengths of light.
Adjusting the size of Quantum Dots (QDS) can be output that converting the wavelength of incident light and multi-wavelength light-emitting device can be produced is possible by mixing the quantum dots of different sizes.

Light augmented by QDs can promote faster growth, not just on per-plant basis, but even depending on where that plant is in its growing cycle. Certain wavelengths can be used for young plant, and slightly different wavelengths for more mature plant.
High-pressure sodium lamp, metal halide lamp and fluorescent lamp were used as a light source for artificial light. To growth of plant using artificial light, it has a high light efficiency, however, high power, thermal stability, light quality and quantity of light were remain to solve the problem.
Now you can improve your lighting source using Quantum Dots. The main advantage of QDs is the option to choose a special wavelength, you decide how to control the growing process and how to influence the plant development and crop.

THE FUTURE OF QUANTUM DOTS
Quantum Dots could be the key to indoor farm producing significantly more food, or small farms being able to produce vastly more food. Indoor farms can also exist in places not typically conductive to farming, such as the cities where most of the world now lives.


Big benefits for using Quantum Dots are for solar also. QDs can be tuned to react to different wavelengths of light, absorbing light in a wider range than traditional solar cells, including infrared and ultraviolet, allowing them to create electricity, more efficiently, for more hours each day.

BUT THE MAIN BENEFIT COULD BE IF TO COMBINE TWO PROJECTS QUANTUM DOT SOLAR CELLS&QUANTUM DOT NANO LAMP AND THIS COULD BECOME THE FAR GREATER BENEFIT – TO DRAMATICALLY CUT THE COSTS.
