Surprisingly, Quantum Dots are known to the world scientists for a long time, Russian-American physicist Alexei Ekinmov synthesized them in 1981 and spotted the extraordinary properties, but to produce them on a large scale and real use for in was found only now.
The goal of Iqdemy «Quantum Technologies» Project is to change the world using the newest technologies and improve the efficiency of different spheres where quantum dots can be applied.
Quantum dot (QD) is an artificial-synthesized semiconductive nanocrystal, the size of 2 to 10 nanometers. Depending on the size, quantum dot can be of different colour. Due to quantum dots special characteristics and its synthesis potential using different chemical elements, scientists find more and more spheres of application of quantum dots and predict them previously unknown useful characteristics. Moreover they can be used not only in the field of technologies of the future, but also in the things already habitual to the world.

The global market for security printing is estimated to grow by 4.8% annually and reach a total value of $34.3 billion by 2022.
Two most important factors why quantum technologies are gaining momentum and promise great prospects for application:
- the extreme forgery complexity (close to the impossibility)
- affordable technology method of application by inkjet printing and superior physical performance in comparison with luminophores.
